HOW TO CORRECT THE MOST COMMON MAKEUP MISTAKES.....

Very few of us have been either professionally trained in how to apply makeup or some of us like me are self taught and started learning from watching youtube videos. So it stands to reason that we're going to make a mistake every now and then. These're some of the most common makeup mistakes women make. If you're aware of them then you can be sure they don't happen to you!

     1.  THE DREADED FOUNDATION LINE.
This's a makeup mistake you can spot from a mile away. When someone makes this mistake, you almost feel embarrassed for them. It happens when you're wearing the wrong shade or you don't blend your makeup in carefully. If you suspect you're wearing a foundation color that's not right for you then ask a consultant for help at your favorite makeup counter. And blend, blend, blend!

     2. CONCEALER CAKING UNDER YOUR EYE AND CREASING UNDER YOUR EYE.
This one happens very easily.  In fact, i'd say it's happened to almost all of us at one time or another. Concealer is a magical makeup product but it can be cakey. To prevent this, make sure you pat your concealer in instead of rubbing it.  Also, remember a little goes a long way. To avoid creases under your eyes make sure you set your under eye concealer with setting powder to avoid the concealer from moving. This prevents creasing under the eye and gives you a flawless look. This is a very important step in your makeup routine.

      3. CONTOURING CAN MAKE YOU LOOK DIRTY.
Contouring is really tricky. It can make your face look absolutely stunning, not to mention slimmer. But it's not easy to accomplish. If you master your facial structure properly and use the right shade for your skintone to contour you can achieve a flawless look other than looking dirty. If you feel like contouring makes your face look dirty then you're either using a product that's too dark or you're applying too much of it. Try switching to using the right shade for your skin tone and apply lightly to get a nice finish.

     4. YOUR BLUSH LOOKS TOO STRONG .
This's one I have to be careful about when applying cause I don't want it over shadowing my contour.
Blush that looks too strong distracts from the rest of my makeup.  In fact, its all everyone would really focus on. If your blush looks more like paint than a natural flush, tone it down by blending it out and adding a light layer of powder on top.

     5. EYESHADOW FADES INTO CREASE
Some women have more trouble with this than others. It seems like women who have oily skin or oily eye lids struggler with it the most. The solution to it is simple. Apply an eye primer before you apply your eyeshadow. If you still have problems with the only eyeshadow left at the end of the day being in the crease then you need to shop for a better brand of primer to avoid your eyeshadow from creasing and lasting all day.

     6. EYE LASHES AND EYELASH BAND LOOKING MESSY AND DIRTY.
This is one problem i really think we ladies need to pay more attention. When applying your strip lashes make sure the lash band is clean to avoid having a messy look. Make sure you take away the excess dried up glue from the last time you used the lashes before re using it. Apply little eye lash glue on your lashes so it would appear neat and easy for you to handle when applying your lashes. You clearly don't want to be that crazy girl walking around with messy eyelashes. If your lashes are dirty make sure you wash it with warm water and a mild facial cleanser carefully  and you have a nice clean pair of lashes. I cant stress enough about how important this is. Please take your time when applying your lashes.

     7. UNFLATTERING LIPSTICK .
Lipstick can be the finishing touch that makes your whole look come together. It can also make your makeup look very, very, wrong. Start by wearing shades that are flattering on your skin tone and ones you feel comfortable in the most. Shop for shades that's close to your lip color ; this's what makeup junkies frequently refer to as a " your lips but better " shade. Ask a friend who's talented with makeup to come along if you feel you need help.

9 BEAUTY SECRETS I LEARNED FROM KARDASIAN- JENNER MAKEUP PRO ARIEL TEJADA

MEET THE 20-YEAR-OLD RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTAGRAM'S MOST- LIKED SELFIES.

BY KATE STOREY..

Ariel Tejada is responsible for instagram's most liked selfies. kim kardasian,s air brushed pic with Amber rose after #FingerInTheBooty-gate? That was #MakeupByAriel. Kylie's poreless puma campaign face? #MakeupByAriel back at it with the perfect skin. Kendall's red carpet glow? you guessed it.

" I jumped from zero to 100 so quickly," the 20-year-old makeup artist says. Since graduating from high school a mere two years ago, Tejada went from practicing glam on his cousin in new york to reaching out to any photographer and model who would listen.

"I would hype myself up saying, 'I'm the greatest makeup artist ever.' Because of the way i spoke of myself and the way i saw myself, people started seeing me that way. And so, i started getting work through that," says tejada, whose first high-profile client was Lilly Ghalichi from bravo's shahs of sunset.

Everything changed when kylie jenner slid into his DMs

"She asked me if i was available to do her makeup. I freaked out. I was like, 'Oh my God, she DM'd me, like, 14 minutes ago. I'm late. She's not going to reply!''' Tejada says. Kylie did reply, and Tejada immediately booked a flight to L.A. " I showed up, we worked together and she never let me go after that. Kylie really changed my life."

Tejada now lives in west hollywood and works with the whole family. "Every day, i wake up to the most beautiful women in the world," he says. "It's incredible."

Here, Tejada breaks down his tips for the perfect glow, impeccable skin, and, of course, bombshell lips.

     1. EMOLLIENT MOISTURIZER IS MY SECRET WEAPON.
A huge part of any flawless foundation application starts with  skin products. I literally live for really good emollient moisturizer. I like the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer- that's a good one for underneath makeup.

     2. INVEST IN EYE CREAM.
A good eye cream is important because you never want your concealer to settle into fine lines. I like the Tacha Revitalizing Eye Cream. At night, you should always put on a really thick eye cream to keep everything hydrated because throughout the night, you want the cream to sit there and soak in.

     3. CONTOURING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED.
If you want the highlight that contour look, you should go for a concealer that's one to two shades lighter than your skin tone in the center of your face to balance out the lighting. And for contour, pick a foundation that's one or two shades darker. Makeup is all about layering. I like using cream foundations.

     4. ILLUMINATE EVERYTHING.
I love a good glow. Recently, thats what i've been addicted to: making the skin look really fresh and glowly, yet still glam. I like using a liquid or cream highlighter underneath the powder-- on top of the foundation, but before setting it. For cream, I like BECCA SHIMMERING SKIN PERFECTOR in 'OPAL'. I put that on the high points of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, right at the center of the chin, Cupid's bow, and i just press it in and blend it. Once you set your makeup in place, you can go in with a powder glow just to emphasize the glow that you have already put on. And i like using other good drug store brands too.

      5. EYE SHADOW CAN RESHAPE YOUR EYES.
If you want to give your eyes a more almond shape, you can go ahead and darken the outer corners of the eyelid. If you want to give it a more rounded shape, you round out the colors along your eye shape. Bronzy, warm -brown eye shadows are kind of my signature look. Its pretty universal; you can never go wrong with natural colors.

     6. WHEN IN DOUBT, ADD LASHES.
There's a lash for every look. I am a huge fan of  lilly lashes. I helped lilly ghalichi design the collection, and one of my favorites is called  " Paris." Its a wispy lash because it just gives a good, natural fluttery look to the eye. If you just put some mascara over it, you can intensify it or you can leave it as is. Its a very universal lash.

     7. PLAY WITH TEXTURE.
I love gloss. Kylie just came out with her glosses., and i'm obsessed with them. I think everyone needs to go buy them. A good gloss livens up your look. The skin can sometimes be a little matte and if you want to bring some life to the overall look., then using a gloss will do the trick for you.

     8.  LOCK IN YOUR LOOK WITH FINISHING SPRAY.
Definitely mist your face with a good setting spray to sink in the makeup when you're done. I use Tacha  Luminous Dewy Skin Mist at the very end, and it just gives a really nice glow to the skin. it doesn't make the makeup look powdery, it just looks like skin.
