HOW TO CONTOUR AND HIGHLIGHT EACH FACE SHAPE

Contouring and highlighting are like chocolate syrup and vanilla icecream best together. First, let's review these makeup techniques before getting into the mind blowing contouring maps that follows.
Contouring is when you use a matte ( not shimmery) powder, cream product that's two shades darker than your skin tone to shade areas you'll like to define r reshape, like your nose, forehead, chin, cheekbones.
Highlighting offsets contouring by accentuating areas of your face with light concealer or highlighter. To properly highlight, use a concealer that's two shades lighter than your skin tone or a highlighter that flatters your complexion to emphasize the areas of your face that naturally catch the light. Figure out which contouring plan is right for you based on your face shape. Here's a handy guide:

HOW TO USE A BEAUTY BLENDER FOR A FLAWLESS FOUNDATION

First of all if you've never used a beauty blender before, your missing out. Its the easiest way to apply your foundation and blending your concealer. Its a miracle product that wont cost you much, so you should go out and buy one asap. if your not sure how they work, here are a few amazing tips on how to use your beauty blender for a flawless look.

     1. WET YOUR BEAUTY BLENDER WITH WATER.

The first step to using your beauty blender is to soak it in water. It doesn't matter if you place it in a bowl of water, as long you let it soak up as much water as possible. The materials acts like a sponge , so the more water it contains the bigger and fluffer it will look.

     2. SQUEEZE OUT THE EXCEES WATER.

Once you get your beauty blender wet, you should wait a few moments and then squeeze out all the excess water. You want your beauty blender to be damp and don't want water to be dripping from it while your applying makeup. That would just make a mess.

     3. PUT YOUR FOUNDATION ON THE BACK OF YOUR HAND.

Grab your foundation and place it on the back of your hand or on a paper plate whatever you usually do usually do in order to get it out of its container and then dab the beauty blender on the foundation.

     4. DAB THE BEAUTY BLENDER INTO THE FOUNDATION

Now that your foundation is out of the  container, you want to dab the large end of your beauty blender into the product. The beauty blender collects the right amount of foundation needed. There is no reason to put the product on the sides of your blender. Your going to stick to using the large end for now to get a full coverage and flawless finish.

     5. BOUNCE THE BEAUTY BLENDER ALONG YOUR SKIN

The technique that you use is incredible important. You don't want to drag your beauty blender along your face. You want to bounce it along your skin for that natural flawless look, like a ball. This technique makes your foundation soak into the skin nicely. It might feel funny at first, but its the best way to get your foundation all over your face without leaving any lines.

6.USE THE POINTED TIP FOR SMALL SPACES AND TO BLEND YOUR CONCEALER.

Beauty blenders have one large end and one small tip for a reason. While the large end should be used to cover your cheeks and forehead with foundation, you should use the small tip to get to the difficult areas beneath your eyes and around your nose. The small tip of your beauty blender can also be used to blend your concealer under your eyes in a dabbing motion to blend it nicely into the skin, That way your never going to miss a spot. Some makeup experts use it to blend there liquid illuminators on there cheek bones for that dewy glow.

     7. DRAG YOUR BEAUTY BLENDER TO EARSE MISTAKES

If you mess up your makeup some how, you should stop bouncing your beauty blender and start dragging it. When you drag it, it will act like n eraser , which means it can make your blush or foundation lines disappear isn't that convenient. The beauty blender can also be used to apply setting powders or translucent powders to set your concealer under your eyes.

     8. HOW TO CLEAN YOUR BEAUTY BLENDER

Beauty blenders are meant to always be clean, so after using it, make sure you wash off all the products cause those things can soak up a lot of products. Re using a dirty beauty blender can cause unwanted break outs, you don't want that to happen. There are plenty ways to make it clean
     a) Baby wash and warm water
     b) Extra virgin olive oil and dish washer
     c) Facial cleanser

STEPS TO CLEANING YOUR BEAUTY BLENDER
1) Dampen the sponge slightly.
2) Dab a small sized amount of any solution of your choice onto the stained areas.
3) Massage the soap into the areas, pressing and kneading it well. Work the stained areas well with your fingertips.
4) Add water and start to rinse. Squeeze the sponge rapidly and work the stains out during this process.
5) Keep rinsing and squeezing the sponge until you see no dirty( in my experience this takes a while) you have to be patient enough.
6) When the water runs clear, gently roll it in a clean towel to remove moisture and then lay it flat to dry.

Beauty blenders are cheap and easy to use, but they can change your life. you will never have to worry about whether your foundation looks natural again, because it always will. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on beauty blenders.

HOW TO ADJUST YOUR MAKEUP ROUTINE FOR THE HOT WEATHER.

My gorgeous ladies have you adjusted your makeup routine for the heat? Depending on where you live. It can either be a small issue or a huge problem. Am sure my ladies in Nigeria can relate to this cause the weather is really hot. It's good to have some strategies to perfect your makeup from the heat. It can help you to avoid issues with caking and melting.

     1.DONT WEAR AS MUCH MAKEUP.
You may find you don't need as much makeup during this period . Your skin has a healthy glow from the change of weather. Dryness isn't typically as much of an issue. You can cut back on the amount of products you wear. A small amount of loose powder and mascara would do the trick and keep you fresh and flawless.

   2. ADD A PRIMER IF YOU ALREADY DONT USE ONE.
If you should apply makeup please primer is one product you don't want to cut out of your makeup routine during this hot period. Think of it as a facial glue that holds your makeup in place. It helps prevent melting and extends the wear of your makeup. Primer has been steadily gaining popularity because of all the # BENEFITS # it has .

     3. SWITCH FROM HEAVY FORMULAS TO SOMETHING LIGHT.
During this period, you may not need heavy foundation coverage cause it's too hot and it can clog your pores. Light formulas would be better for this weather so your skin can breathe and you would be comfortable without sweating or your makeup caking.

     4. KEEP BLOTTING OR TISSUE PAPERS IN YOUR PURSE..
Move over, powder. Blotting or tissue paper is the best option when you need to freshen up. A quick blot will remove oil and sweat without removing your carefully applied makeup. This is great for this hot weather.

     5. SWITCH TO WATER PROOF EYELINER AND MASCARA.
This is a very important makeup tip during this hot period. I hate when my eyeliner runs! You can prevent that by using water proof eyeliner and mascara. So make sure before you purchase one read the contents so you know you buying the right one for the weather.

      6. SAY GOODBYE LIPSTICKS AND LIPSTAINS AND HELLO LIP BALM..
This ones not easy for me. I love my lipsticks but I don't love when it melts. So I've found some lip balms that I love for hot days. I get a nice hint of color that doesn't  feather or melt as easily.

I hope these tips are helpful to you in dealing with the heat.
