UNDER EYE CONCEALING....WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Mastering under eye concealer has been a challenge for me throughout the years. It took me a while to finally get what i was doing wrong. If you suffer from dark circles or have trouble creating flawless under eyes then you are in for a treat with this blogpost.


     African girls skin tone we  find it difficult to use certain concealer and foundation cause of our harsh weather and it tends to oxidise. This is where the color correcting method comes in hand. ( I have a post on color correcting already on the blog if you're confused.)

     The problem with creasing under the eyes is due to product layering. I figured this once when i randomly decided to apply foundation on the rest of my face and avoided my under eye area. All i used was an orange corrector. This gave the corrector time to dry.

*Its important to let your corrector dry as it avoids spreading orange to the rest of your face and stops it from oxidising during the day.


     Once you are done with your base start applying a concealer under your eyes, make sure you warm the concealer with your fingers THEN press gently with your ring finger- doing so helps melt the product in and lowers the chance of creasing. My fav concealers for under eyes are Naked skin urban decay weightless complete coverage concealer, Nars radiant creamy concealer, Bareminerals bareskin complete coverage serum concealer, L.A girl pro concealer, It cosmetics bye bye under eye full coverage waterproof concealer.

     After adding this concealer spray a fixing spray on the under eye area, go in with your damp beauty blender or with your fingers. Using your damp beauty blender dip in into a loose powder( great for creasing under eye powders are ben nye banana powder, laura mercier translucent powder.

Avoid baking if you have dry under eyes or you have trouble with cakey under eyes, the corrector and warming concealer method will help you with coverage and moisture, leaving the powder for long will defeat the purpose of this. Dust off using a small fluffy brush.

On top spray your setting spray to the powdered area only. This is what helps avoid creases, cakeyness, oxidising, eye bags showing, tired looking eyes. It adds moisture, keeps concealer in place all day and you would look refreshed all day.

EFFORTLESS WAYS FOR GIRLS WHO WANT PLUMP LIPS....

       

Would you love to have sexy, plump lips? These secrets can give you the full lips you've always dreamed of. Having sexy, full lips is a TREND right now and I would share with you guys my tips on having sexy, plump lips. 

     1. EXFOLIATE WITH A LIP SCRUB OR TOOTHBRUSH.

      

Exfoliating your lips is a great start to getting gorgeously full lips. It also helps to get the dead skin off to reveal prettier lips underneath. Exfoliating your lips gives them a temporary but slightly swollen appearance, which makes them look lovely and full. You can use an actual lip exfoliating product, but you can also achieve the same results with a toothbrush. Gently rub the toothbrush across your lips for a few minutes and you'll notice a big difference. Crusty and dry lips is totally not cute and no girl should be seen walking around with crusty lips. 

     2. LINE YOUR LIPS JUST OUTSIDE THE LINE.

      

This one takes some practice. Many women don't use a lip liner today, but it's a key to achieving a sexy, plump lip. Line your lips just outside the natural line. You don't want to go very far outside the natural line or it won't give you a good result. You may want to try this on days you'll just be at home a few times before you feel ready to wear it this way in public. It makes a huge difference in how full your lips look. This is a little secret of mine that I do anytime I apply makeup, just to have a fuller lip and if it's done right. It looks super cute and not so fake. Every girl needs to own a good brown lip liner that suits your skin tone and this is the trick to fuller lips. 

     3. USE A BIT OF CONCEALER TO BLEND THE LINER AROUND YOUR LIPS. 

       

 

 Concealer can help you to make lining outside your lip line look more natural. You only want to use the smallest amount of concealer, though. Using a brush to apply it is the best choice here. Use a very small amount of concealer dabbed onto a brush to help blend the lip liner. Set with powder afterward. This is one trick makeup artists skip to inform us when doing there makeup.  This little trick is what I do to get my fuller lips and it has worked wonders for me. 

     4. FILL YOUR LIPS IN WITH LIPSTICK.

       

After you have your lips lined, you want to carefully fill them in with the lipstick of your choice. You can do this straight from the tube or with a lip brush. You may want to blot your lips and apply a second coat to ensure that your lipstick had more staying power. Everyone has their own technique for applying lipstick. Do whatever is most comfortable for you. 

     5. APPLY A DAB OF LIPGLOSS IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR LIPS.

       

This little secret can really pump up your lips. Just dab a small amount of lip gloss in the middle of your lips, especially concentrating on the middle of your lower lip. It helps create the illusion of very full lips. You can use a colored gloss that goes well with your lipstick or clear gloss. Either one will give you the same result. 

     6. EAT SOMETHING SPICY. 

       

I know this is super weird but spicy foods are something else that'll temporarily plump your lips. There are many choices that would work here. A nice spicy soup ( Nsala soup) probably gives you this effect and you just haven't noticed. Be sure to look in the mirror after having any spicy meal of your choice and observe the difference. 

     7. KISS MORE.

       

This is a very fun way to get sexy, plump lip look. I enjoy smooching with my partner and the after effect of full lips. This gives you two benefits in one. Of course, this can mess up your lipstick! But it's totally worth it 😁. I honestly think this is my Favorite trick for fuller, sexy lips 🙈

NOSE CONTOURING : EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

        

I feel like this is a very important part of your makeup routine. It's that one blog post that I spill ALL. My pet peeve is when I see obvious nose contour! As a perfectionist, harsh contour really irks me. 

        

        

I'm going to explain my knowledge on nose contouring as much as I can and I will include diagrams to show you. Many of you reading this have either hook, slight hook, bulbous nose, drooping tip, wide bridge, crooked from the front, long, short, wide... Which ever shape you have there are ways to make it less prominent. I'm not a surgeon so I won't promise perfect results.. Just enough for it to look smaller? Defined? YES.

Some of you, like me who have a wide nose and others who have decided to choose to go under the knife and try rhinoplasty which is a personal preference. Some of you who have fear of going under the knife to have their nose reshaped. That's where contouring comes in (woohoo!) 

The first thing to remember when contouring is THE MORE YOU SHADE THE MORE OBVIOUS IT WILL LOOK! I see women in real life and all over social media and I am automatically drawn to the middle of there face because the contouring is either one harsh, too orange making the nose look more prominent.

The contour shade you choose for your nose must be lighter than the one you use for your cheeks and the rest of your face. Whether your using cream or powder it always has to be a cool tone. Cool tones mimic the natural contours and shadows of the face. 

STOP following the contour pictures you see on Instagram, everyone's nose is different and seeing the same contour and highlight on everyone's nose bothers Me. The key to a perfect contoured nose is BLENDING. You have to blend the product nicely into the skin to achieve that natural contoured nose without any harsh lines. 

                                                            HERE WE GO 

     1. WIDE BRIDGE AND NOSTRILS.

       

If you have a wide bridge concentrate on shading out the darker areas of this diagram and then connect with the sides of the nostrils. This is best done with a cream contour. The cream contour should be applied lightly on the nose for easy blending. It will take some practice before you perfect it.

     2. LONG NARROW NOSE

       

You want to make your nose appear shorter but a little wider too. Down your nose use a concealer that's three shades lighter after that apply the contour shade. Concentrate on the tips and the sides of the nose. Blend well with a beauty blender or makeup sponge or Mac 224 brush until seamless.

     3. BUMP/HOOK

            

STOP highlighting all the way down, you only need the tip highlighted. Shade out the bump, like shown in the diagram.

       

     4. BULBOUS NOSE. 

          

Use a flat concealer brush to apply cream contour for precision, follow where the light grey color on the diagram. You want to stop where I have put the black line. Use a powder or a white eyeshadow in the center, making sure it's a thin line. Buff and blend with any small blending brush. 

Best done over your foundation because it shows more but not obvious. The key is to blend. It's pretty simple to follow the directions on these images that's why there's less description. Be patient and practice. I'm not promising miracles but it's a difference

This is a simple phrase, but it works wonders. It'll let your man know that you're going to be all over him as soon as you see him. There's no better mental image. Of course, if you don't mind talking dirty, you can tell him exactly where you want your hands to be.

If you love it when your man kisses you a certain way or touches you a certain way, let him know. Not only will it make him proud of how well he pleases you, but it'll also convince him to use the move again in the future. That way, you both win.
