THE TRICK TO STOPPING YOUR FOUNDATION FROM CAKING

There is nothing worse than looking in the mirror, only to discover that your foundation is all cakey. Cakey foundation never looks good and you definitely wont be getting many compliments if it happens to you. There are several things you can do to keep cakiness at bay so that you always look flawless and fabulous, no matter how long you wear your foundation. Heres how to stop it.

1. CHOOSE A FOUNDATION FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE.

If you have oily skin, a foundation made for dry skin is never going to work for you, and vice versa. When you pick out foundation read the label carefully to make sure its one that aligns with your skin type is a really easy way to be sure your foundation stays flawless all day.

2. PREP YOUR SKIN WITH AN ASTRIGENT.

An astringent is meant to make your skin less oily and will clean your skin and close your pores. Astringent cream can be used at night and astringent lotion suggested to form part of a skin cleansing routine before makeup is applied during the day. It is the perfect finishing preparation for oily skins Eg Clinique clarifying lotion, garnier pore purifying astringent etc . This especially important if you have oily skin because it will get your skin ready for foundation so it never cakes up on you. No more cakey foundation for you.

3.USE A MATTIFYING FOUNDATION RATGER THAN A CREAMY ONE.

A matte look is what we all want because it means we aren't sweaty or shiny. Creamy foundations are more prone to caking. Mattifying foundations always the best.

4. MAKE EXFOLIATION A NORMAL PART OF YOUR ROUTINE.

Part of getting foundation that doesn't cake is creating a smooth surface to apply it to get your skin in prime shape for your foundation, start including exfoliation as part of your skincare routine once or twice a week. Exfoliation removes dry, dead skin ceels and makes your skin the perfect place for any kind of foundation.

 5. LAYER FOUNDATION OVER A GOOD MOISTURIZER .

Before any foundation make sure you use a good moisturizer for your skin type. First hydrated skin holds on better to your foundation so it makes sense to apply a good facial cream before. Always include it as part of your skin care routine. You will never be sorry.

6. USE THIN LAYERS OF FOUNDATION.

The more foundation you apply to your face, the higher risk of caking. To prevent it from happening, apply foundation, apply foundation in thin layers if the first layer isn't enough you can add another thin layer around areas you want covered more until get the look you want,.

7. NEVER EVER FORGET TO SET YOUR FOUNDATION.

Powder helps your foundation, which helps keep caking at bay. the trick is to only apply the powder top areas that get oily. Too much powder can also lead to caking so you don't want to go over board.
